Plot:
The action of the film "Met on the Road" takes place in the late 50s of the last century. Natalia (Tasya) Kudryavtseva goes to Leningrad to enter the pedagogical institute. On the train with her is a nice and very sociable young man, but following her mother's advice, she did not make casual acquaintances with men, so she was silent the whole way.
However, it is impossible to avoid meeting this random fellow traveler. After all, Makar Semenov, that was the name of the young man, like Tasya, came to enter the pedagogical institute. True, unlike Tasya, Makar did not get in: he lacked only some half a point.
Upset for Makar, Tasya takes him under her wing in order to prepare him well for entering next year, but soon realizes that she is doing all this because she is madly in love with Makar...
