The plot of the cartoon Treasure Island (cartoon 1988):

Young Jim Hawkins runs a small inn called "Admiral Benbow" on the coast of England. One day a mysterious guest named Billy Bones, whom everyone calls Captain, comes into the establishment.

Soon some blind tramp visits Billy, after which the captain's health is severely impaired. Before his death he tells Jim that he is not a captain, but a former pirate from Captain Flint's gang.
He shares information with Jim about the treasure Flint left behind on one of the deserted islands. And warns of a man with a wooden leg who's after them

After Billy's death, Jim finds the map and turns to Dr. Livesey and Esquire Trelawney for help. The pirates who come to the inn begin to suspect Jim of possessing the map. Dr. Livesey and Trelawney decide to go on a treasure hunt. Trelawney hires the schooner "Espagnol" and recruits a crew.

And since the Esquire could not keep his mouth shut, instead of sailors, the ship was filled with Flint's pirates and their new leader, the one-legged John Silver.

Upon arrival on the island, pirates seize the ship, but Jim, Dr. Livesey, Trelawney and a few sailors manage to land on the island and take refuge in a small fort.
