Narrative:

The action of the film "Shutter Island" takes place in the mid-50s of the last century in the USA. Federal Marshal Edward Daniels and his partner Chuck Ole are heading to the Ashecliffe Psychiatric Hospital, located on one of the Pacific islands near the coast of the USA.

The hospital's location was determined by the fact that it was not an ordinary psychiatric hospital. It housed murderers who had been declared insane by the court. For this reason, in narrow circles, this sinister institution was called "The Island of the Damned."

This time, an emergency occurred here: the murderer of her three children, Rachel Solando, disappeared, and the marshals who arrived on the island had the task of organizing a search for the patient, but as the group's senior Edward Daniels noted, the hospital staff was in no hurry to provide assistance in the investigation of this case.

On the contrary, the detectives were faced with various obstacles, and this behavior of the staff alerted Edward. While searching the island, he finds a missing woman in a cave, who tells him that secret experiments are being conducted on patients in the hospital to change consciousness, capable of turning people into real zombies, programmed to carry out various criminal orders.

Having learned this, Edward, as the liberator of the Dachau prisoners, decides to get to the bottom of the truth, but the staff actively hinders him. The head doctor of the hospital tells him that he is not a federal marshal, but an ordinary patient of the hospital, and has been undergoing treatment in this institution for two years already. And his name is not Edward Daniels at all, but Andrew Leddis, who killed his wife two years ago...
