Plot of the movie Treasure Island (1982 film):
Wandering through the back streets of his father's tavern, the Admiral Benbow, young Jim Hawkins dreams of unknown islands and exciting sea adventures.
One day, Jim's father died and it was the first serious blow for the boy, but it was on this day that the story began that changed his destiny.
That day a strange guest appeared at the tavern, who introduced himself as the captain. Jim noticed that this new guest was a real sea wolf, it seemed that he was salted through and through by the sea.
His name, Jim later learned, was Billy Bones. Billy gave the boy fourpence and promised to pay him the same amount every month if Jim would inform him of any suspicious characters approaching the inn.
The captain was especially interested in the sailor on one leg. Jim had to immediately inform the captain about his appearance. And soon, the first visitors began to come to Billy.
After a visit from one of them, "Black Dog", Billy had a stroke. The captain was finished off by a visit from "Blind Pew", who gave him a black mark.
After the captain's death, Jim finds a map of an uninhabited island with strange markings in his chest. He takes the find to Dr. Livesey.
Who, having examined the map together with Squire Trelawney, came to the conclusion that its owner is one of the most powerful pirates Flint. And the crosses indicate the places where Flint hid countless treasures.
Trelawney immediately organizes an expedition to the treasure island. For this purpose, he buys the schooner Hispaniola and selects a crew of sailors.
