Plot of the film Dads (1983 film):

Seventeen-year-old Tristan left home. The police promise to find the boy, but Tristan's mother Christine does not have much hope in the police and demands that her husband do the search himself. It is known that Tristan went to Nice with some girl.

But the girl's father, the owner of a small hotel in Nice, told both the police and Tristan's parents that he did not know where his daughter was. Christine decided to involve a certain Jean Luc, with whom she had an affair seventeen years ago, in the search for her son.

Luca was a strong and courageous man, who could be relied upon. But Luca was not very happy that he had a son, about whom he learned seventeen years later. In addition, Luca is very busy, he is a journalist, and is currently conducting a journalistic investigation into the connection between a famous gangster and an equally famous politician.

Then Christine turns to Pinon, another of her lovers from her wild youth. Pinon, unlike Luke, was a soft and vulnerable man. Christine remembered that in his youth Pinon had repeatedly tried to commit suicide. And on this day, when Christine called, he had already put a gun to his temple.

Christine's call distracted him from such an important matter. Pinon, unlike Luc, was happy to hear that he had a son and willingly agreed to go looking for him. At that time, Luca was in Nice on business. He took Tristan's photo out of his pocket, and something like paternal feelings awoke in him. He calls Christine, saying that he can help in finding his son.

Soon the paths of the new dads crossed, and they learned to their chagrin that they were looking for the same person. An angry Luca calls Christine and demands an explanation: who, in fact, is the boy's father?

Christine responded that she had been dating three different men at about the same time, and each of them, to a certain extent, could be his father. Then Luca gave up on further searches, citing urgent matters.

Finally, they managed to find Tristan in one of the small hotels. The guy was dead drunk and the dads, unconscious, transported him to their hotel. But Tristan, barely coming to his senses, runs away from the strange guys, who both called themselves his fathers.

However, the girl Tristan ran away with doesn't want to see him anymore, she's already found herself another boyfriend. A fight breaks out between Tristan and this guy, in which Tristan gets it: his arm is broken. The dads take their "son" to the hospital and persuade him to come home.

Communication with Luca and Pinion was not in vain for Tristan, he understood a lot. That's why he urgently calls his real father and asks for forgiveness. The father also understood a lot, because he did not pay enough attention to his son. The father asks Tristan to tell his saviors the truth, who his father is. But Tristan does not want to upset his "daddies", to whom he is so attached. That's why he secretly tells everyone that he is his father...
