Narrative:

In 1989, the city's police department Volzhsky received a call from a young man who said that unknown people were taking furniture out of his neighbor Shcherbakov's apartment. This turned out to be suspicious, as according to the young man Shcherbakov had only recently moved into the apartment.

The man was not fooled by his gut, because the police squad that arrived at the scene found four corpses with signs of violent death in Shcherbakov's apartment. The dead were the owner of the apartment, his wife and their two young children.

The movers who took out of the Shcherbakovs' apartment were immediately detained, but they, as it was quickly established, had nothing to do with the murder, but acted on someone's orders.

It was not difficult to establish who ordered the removal of clothes from the apartment of the murdered man, and soon the operatives identified the customer. But even here they were disappointed, because this customer turned out to be Shcherbakov's best friend, who a few years ago heroically saved his life, about which there was a note in the local newspaper.

To kill a man because of some things, and even the one whom he had recently saved from hooligans at the risk of his own life? It was really hard to believe and the security guards let the suspect go, but soon almost paid for their gullibility....
