After another successful case, Sgt. Roger Merte changed his mind about retiring and continued to work as Riggs' partner. One day, the partners went out to investigate another incident. A psychopath wrapped in armor, armed with a machine gun and a flamethrower, was walking around the city. All the attempts of the partners to neutralize the criminal end with another blown up gas station.
Such exploits of Sgts. Riggs and Merte pissed off the police authorities. But since it was impossible to charge them with official negligence in this case
the management is going the other way. To get Riggs and Merte off the street, they should have just promoted them. Then they'd stop chasing criminals and do administrative work.
It is not known how things would have turned out further, if the newly minted captains had not gone fishing. As it turned out, dangerous adventures found their reckless partners. On the way of the fishermen was a Chinese ship, the holds of which were full of illegal migrants ...
