Narrative:
The action of the TV series "Ultimatum" takes place in our time. Police Major Sergei Yarokhin is embedded in a gang of drug traffickers, headed by criminal authority Bykov. A month of work in the gang gives a good result: Bykov and his associates were covered by operatives during the next deal.
The ringleader himself faces a big prison term and this time it seemed so easy to get off this case he will not be able to. However, the cornered criminal was ready to do anything to avoid responsibility for his deeds and so soon after his arrest Yarokhin received a phone call.
They called and informed him that his younger sister Lena, who lived in the Karelian town of Severoozersk, had been kidnapped by Bykov's accomplices. Bykov himself gave Yarokhin an ultimatum: in exchange for his sister's life, he had to recant his testimony at the trial.
And there were only 72 hours left before the trial, and if Yarokhin fulfills this ultimatum, the long and painstaking work of the entire department of politics will be wasted.
The other is his own sister, for whose sake Sergei is ready to do anything. Using the allotted by law 72 hours, Yarokhin goes to Severoozersk to save his sister and not to let the dangerous criminal escape from punishment....
