Narrative:

The action of the film "72 Hours" takes place in the mid-50s of the last century. In a cafe of one of the Moscow train stations, a former front-line soldier from the small town of Stavrovo, Nikolai Kalenov, meets his fellow countryman Dmitry Pronin, who actively collaborated with the German occupation authorities during the war.

According to Kalenov, Pronin was detained by KGB officers, but the detainee himself categorically denied not only his connection with the Germans, but also that his name was Dmitry Pronin.

The investigation had only 72 hours to verify Kalenov's words, and therefore other witnesses were brought from Stavrovo who knew Dmitry Pronin by sight, but none of them recognized the detained citizen as a war criminal...
