The action of the movie "Bored by the Sun 2 The Standing» разворачивается в июне 1941 года. В это время бывший комдив Котов отбывал свой срок в лагере, где его застает весть о начале войны. Немцы стремительно продвигались вперед, и руководство лагеря получает приказ немедленно эвакуировать заключенных, но только уголовников. Все политические подлежали уничтожению.

Fate itself or someone's caring hand at the top helped Kotov to avoid death. Just before he was shot, he was informed that his case had been reclassified from the political 58th article "For Treason against the Motherland" to the criminal 129th article "Embezzlement".
