The action of the film "The Tower" takes place in the late 80s in Russia. The scene is the house of water tower mechanic Ivan Filippovich, where he lived with his wife and adopted son Venya. Venya's legs had been failing for three years, but now the boy, albeit with difficulty, moved on crutches, hoping that maybe soon he would be able to walk fully.
But one day, uninvited guests appeared at the mechanic's house: associate professor Ivan Vasilyevich, his wife Kara Semenovna and high school daughter Ksenia. Due to a car breakdown, they were forced to stay at the mechanic's house for a few days.
Ksyusha immediately makes acquaintance with Venya and even declares her love to him, but having gone so far, she did not imagine the consequences of this strange acquaintance. After all, sooner or later she will have to decide for herself: to stay with Venya and live her whole life with a cripple, or to leave and forget about everything, but will Venya, whom she gave so much hope, be able to forget everything?
