Действие фильма «Ночные забавы» происходит в начале 90-х годов. Ольга Силина собирается повеселиться с друзьями на даче у подруги. Вскоре за ней должен заехать ее молодой человек Игорь. Мать торопит дочь и это не ускользает от Ольги. Несколько раз она переспрашивает дочь, останется ли она ночевать на даче, или собирается вернуться домой.

Olga told her mother that she was going to spend the night at the dacha. Finally, Igor came and took Olga to the party. As soon as the door closed behind them, Anna, Olga's mother, rushed to the phone. Anna's husband had gone on a business trip, her daughter was visiting friends, and it was high time for her lover to arrive. And he didn't keep us waiting long. That lover was Ezopov, her husband Alexei's boss.

Ezopov constantly sent Alexei Silin to visit Anna in his absence. But this time fortune turned away from the "conspirators". Olga's young man Igor, not paying attention to his beloved, began to flirt with another girl. Annoyed, Olga decided to return home quickly.

Opening the door, Olga noticed a man's coat and hat on a hanger in the hallway. But her father was away on a business trip, and then Olga understood why her mother was so impatient to send her out of the house as soon as possible. Hearing the knock on the door, Anna and Ezopov became seriously alarmed.

Then Anna went out to see who had come. Having seen her daughter, as Olga had expected, the mother was not happy and now tried to send her to bed. But Olga, having experienced the bitterness of betrayal by a loved one, was not going to forgive her mother for the same towards her father. While her mother was not looking, she closed the front door and hid all the keys to it.

Olga sent an urgent telegram to her father, informing him that her mother had fallen ill. At that time, the elderly "labukh", Alexander Andryushchenko, finished his working day in the restaurant, where he played the saxophone. After work, Alexander indulged in his nightly amusements. He picked up the phone and dialed random numbers corresponding to the numbers on the banknotes received from the restaurant's customers.

He asked the sleepy people various stupid questions and then laughed heartily. So he dialed Olga's number. Having learned that Alexander is a musician, Olga invites him to visit her to play. Andryushchenko, not without hesitation, agrees. Arriving at Olga's, Alexander is nervous, because the girl is very young, and her parents will not like such a night visit from a strange elderly man.

But Olga insists, and this frightens Alexander even more. But then the father arrives. At first, he takes Andryushchenko for a doctor, but Anna declares that she is completely healthy. Alexey demands an explanation. Then Olga declares that Alexander is her fiancé.

Having heard this news, the father jumped up as if scalded, because the groom was old enough not only to be a father, but also a grandfather. But then Alexey resigned himself to this thought and was even happy about his future relative. He offered his future son-in-law a drink to their acquaintance. Anna wanted Alexey to get drunk quickly and go to bed.

But Olga, having figured out her mother's plan, removes the cognac from the table. Seeing that he can't sit it out in the bedroom, Ezopov comes out of the "underground". Silin notices his boss, who was also at his house without socks, but pretends not to understand anything.

But Anna is already fed up with this whole circus, and she tells everyone present how she made her husband's career. However, Silin is so afraid of Ezopov that he does not even dare to shout at him. Anna and Olga demand that Alexey take decisive action, throw Ezopov out of the apartment.

But Alexey is weak-willed against Ezopov. Then Olga tries to jump out of the window, but Alexander comes to the rescue. Unable to stay at home any longer, Olga leaves with Alexander for a restaurant, where he plays the saxophone for her until the morning…
