The plot of the film Amphibian Man (movie 1961):
The film takes place in the 60s of the last century in one of the Latin American countries. The brilliant scientist Dr. Salvator is obsessed with the idea of creating a just society without violence and injustice, without the poor and the rich.
Salvator dreams of moving all the unfortunate and destitute to the depths of the ocean, where the sea's silence and peace should replace the land with its passions and experiences.
Своими мыслями доктор делится с давним товарищем — журналистом Ольсеном. Но Ольсен скептически отнесся к утопической идее своего гениального товарища изменить, таким образом, мир к лучшему.
Then Salvator showed Olsen the first inhabitant of the future underwater republic – his son Ichthyander. As a child, Ichthyander was diagnosed with an incurable lung disease.
