Narrative:
The action of the film "The Fourth Height" takes place in the mid-thirties of the last century. Sixth-grader Olga (Gulya) Koroleva moves to Kyiv with her mother, where she takes part in the filming of a heroic revolutionary film.
Her heroine Vasilina is the daughter of a partisan, so Gulya had to master horse riding and jumping over barriers on a horse. Gulya was very proud of this role and considered it her first height that she managed to conquer in her life.
However, due to constant filming, the young actress was falling far behind in her school curriculum, which could have caused her to be held back a year in the sixth grade.
But the ambitious and purposeful Gulya does not want to stay for a second year, and, gathering all her will into a fist, she catches up on the program and successfully passes the exams, which become the second height taken for her.
In her youth, Gulya was interested in sports and, participating in city diving competitions, won the city championship. This was the third height.
Even as a child, Gulya dreamed of playing the role of a heroic girl in a greatcoat, but she had no idea that she would have to play this role in real life, and not in a movie.
The war that suddenly began destroyed all plans and girlish dreams of a happy life and love, and Gulya volunteers to go to the front. Her fourth height is height 56.8 near Stalingrad, during the capture of which the girl heroically dies...
