Plot of the film Radio Day (2008 film):
The staff of one of the Moscow radio stations "Kak by radio" is preparing for the evening broadcast, the main program of which should be a super marathon in support of Russian tourists in Congo. Who became victims of a fraudulent travel agency.
Prominent representatives of the tourism business, diplomats, as well as popular domestic rock bands and performers were supposed to take part in the marathon.
But a few minutes before the broadcast began, the head of "Kakby Radio" Mikhail learned that their main competitor "Avtoradio" went on air with exactly the same marathon theme.
Cancelling the marathon would be a death sentence. After all, it was the idea of Emmanuel Gedeonovich himself, an oligarch and owner of the radio station. That's why Mikhail urgently calls a meeting and demands that a fresh topic for the marathon be quickly thought up.
Frantically scrolling through the latest news feed, the radio station staff finds information about a small floating circus that lost control in the Sea of Japan. It was going on tour to Japan. Of course, seven people and eleven animals on board a small vessel that was out of order for five or six hours was too shallow for an evening super marathon.
But it occurs to Mikhail that this situation with this small floating circus can be presented in a completely different way. If we assume that this is not a small floating circus, but a giant floating liner-zoo on which there are a hundred rarest species of animals. Whose lives are in danger. After all, the liner has crashed and is slowly sinking...
