Narrative:
On the eve of the wedding, Mikhail Zabolotny meets his first love Klava Kamaeva. This meeting awakened new feelings in Mikhail, and he realized that it was Klava he truly loved, and not his current fiancée Anna Salova.
Having learned about this, right on the wedding day, Anna makes the painful decision to give her beloved man freedom.
Rightly believing that you can’t build your happiness on someone else’s misfortune, Anna lets Mikhail go, sincerely hoping that he will be happy with another.
With the one he, apparently, truly loved. Mikhail thought so too, but as it turned out, for Klava it was just a passing fancy…
