Narrative:

The action of the movie Victory Day takes place at the beginning of the war. A company of Red Army soldiers, formed from former prisoners, is attached to a rifle regiment. Right from the march the company commander Junior Lieutenant Nikolenko receives an order to attack the farm Kalinki. From this farm the enemy will start an attack in the morning, and the regiment, worn out in heavy fighting, may not be able to hold the defense.

The trouble was that the offensive would have to go through a minefield, and there was no time to make passages in it. For the junior lieutenant, who had come to the front straight from military school, and his men, most of whom had never held a weapon, the order was literally murderous.

But an order is an order, and whatever it is, it must be carried out at any cost. After a two-hour rest, the company went on the offensive. And after the first mine burst, the Germans opened a barrage of fire on the advancing men, and their chains were quickly thinning. Soon there were only three men left of the company: junior lieutenant Nikolenko, sergeant Privalov and a badly wounded private Sharipov.
