Narrative:

The action of the film "Days and Nights" takes place in September 1942. The Germans reached Stalingrad, and fierce street battles broke out on the outskirts of the city. From across the Volga, a fresh Guards Division of General Protsenko, which includes Captain Saburov's battalion, is sent to help the defenders.

By this time, the Germans had advanced significantly into the city, and in one area they had managed to capture three houses located only a kilometer from the Volga. These three houses became a real thorn in the defenders' side, and Captain Saburov's battalion received an order: to recapture these three houses and hold them at any cost for three days...
