The plot of the movie From Paris with Love:

The movie is set in the present day in France. A young man named James Reese works in Paris as an assistant to the U.S. Ambassador to France and at the same time is a CIA agent. In the embassy Reese is considered to be a great intellectual, he plays chess perfectly, but on his other job his superiors have not yet evaluated his potential. Therefore, Reese is only trusted to change license plates on spy cars and install bugs in the ambassador's office.

But one day Reese is happy, soon he will be promoted and his partner Charlie Wachs will arrive from the USA. The management instructs Reese to meet Wax at the airport, because the latter was detained at customs. Wax was the direct opposite of Reese, if Reese was a knight of the cloak, Wax was a knight of the dagger. Wax preferred to use his hands rather than his head.

First of all, after leaving the Paris airport, Vax started his mission and together with Reese went to a Chinese restaurant. Here Vax has a shootout with the restaurant's guards, and to Reese's horror kills several people. But then, as Reese saw, it was not in vain, there was a huge cocaine warehouse in the restaurant.

Wachs explained to Reese that their goal was to find international terrorists through drug traffickers who used the money from cocaine sales to buy weapons. This search leads the partners to Caroline, Reese's favorite girl, whom he was going to marry. Under the guise of this young Frenchwoman was hiding a fanatical Muslim and suicide bomber who would carry out a terrorist attack on the American embassy during the next international summit.

Upon learning that Caroline had simply used him, Reese was greatly distressed, but now felt it was his duty to be the one to stop her...
