The Expendables (2010) Movie Plot:
The Expendables, an elite assassination group, receives a contract from "The Temple" to assassinate General Garza, the dictator of the fictional island of Vilena in Gulf of Mexico. Having realized the difficulty and danger of the task, the leader of the "unstoppables" Ross demands five million dollars for its completion and half of the fee in advance. The "Temple" agrees, but warns Ross what awaits him and his colleagues if he tries to take the advance and not complete the order.
Before the operation, Ross and one of the "unstoppables" Lee Christmas leave for Vilena to conduct reconnaissance. Here they are met by a contact - a girl named Sandra, the daughter of General Garza. Sandra tells Ross and Christmas the whole situation on Vilena. Recently, a wealthy American appeared on the island, who took over all the power on the island.
This American was a certain James Monroe, a former CIA agent who had organized cocaine plantations on Velen. Now, former CIA colleagues, having learned about Monroe's enterprise, decided to take over this business. Mr. "Temple", who ordered General Garza from Ross, is none other than an active CIA agent, and the main goal of the "unstoppables" is the liquidation not of General Garza, but of James Monroe.
Ross realized that the Temple had set them up. After the Expendables eliminate Monroe, the Temple's men eliminate Ross and his men. Having come to this conclusion, Ross, after consulting with his colleagues, decides to abandon the mission. But remembering Sandra and the danger that she might be in, Ross changes his mind and returns to Vilena.
He believes that this is his personal business and decides to go to the island alone, but loyal friends could not abandon their boss in such a dangerous matter...
