After Krosh failed his college exams, he went to his grandfather in the small town of Karyukovo. Here, in a calm environment, Sergey planned to thoroughly prepare for the exams for the next year. And in order not to sit on his grandfather's neck, he decides to get a job.

There was a highway being built near the city, and his grandfather advised Sergei to apply there. Soon Krosh was accepted into the construction department as a car mechanic and started working.

But one day, the builders came across a tomb of an unknown soldier, and the work was stopped. The management decided to move the tomb. But first, it was necessary to notify the local authorities and those people who looked after the tomb. Krosh was assigned to do this, since of all the workers in the department, he had a relative in the city.

Thus, Krosh established that the unknown soldier buried in this grave had performed a real feat. In the summer of 1942, he threw grenades at the German headquarters, destroying a dozen occupiers and damaging several units of equipment.

Having learned about this, Krosh was quite surprised that no one had yet established the name of this unknown hero. After all, he probably had relatives and friends who had been trying unsuccessfully to find his grave for many years.

So Krosh decided to restore historical justice and establish the name of the deceased hero. Having only a photograph and scant data from the military archive, Sergey gets down to business...
