The plot of the movie Krosh's Vacation (movie 1980):

During the last school vacation, a high school student Sergei Krasheninnikov, nicknamed Krosh, got into a real detective story. It began with Krosh's acquaintance with art historian and critic Vladimir Nikolaevich Lesnikov (VEEN), who lived in the same house with him.

Krosh had often seen Lesnikov in the courtyard in the company of his peers. Vera, a classmate, Igor, a fidgety talker, and Kostya, a sullen boxer. What connected young people with a solid adult man, Krosh did not know yet. But soon Lesnikov himself invited him for a ride in his new car.

As it turned out, WEN was also an avid collector. He collected miniature Japanese netsuke figurines, and the boys helped him in this. And this help Veen generously rewarded the guys for pocket money. And Krosh, helping Veen, could earn money for a brand new tape recorder, which he had been dreaming about for a long time.

However, not everything was so smooth. Soon Sergei became convinced that Lesnikov was a real swindler and swindler. To achieve his goal, he did not shy away from forgery, deceit or slander.

Sixteen years ago, as a graduate student in Professor Mavrodaki's department, he substituted copies of his collection. Then, using a pseudonym, he wrote a false article about his teacher. Shortly thereafter, Mavrodaki died, and Lesnikov took possession not only of his collection, but also became head of his department.

But the main netsuke "Drawing Boy" was not in the collection. For some reason Mavrodaki did not present it at the exhibition, and Veen spent a lot of effort to find the figure. For this purpose he needed such an honest and fair guy as Krosh. But Sergei calculated Lesnikov's plans and managed to expose them in time....
