Plot of The Bronze Bird (1974 film):
The film takes place shortly after the civil war. That summer, Misha Polyakov, Genka Petrov and Slava Eldarov, together with the pioneers from their class, organized a pioneer camp in a village near Moscow.
The site of the camp was a former count's estate, which the pioneers and their older Komsomol comrades had chosen to organize a labor colony for former street children.

On this basis, the visiting activists were categorically refused an attempt to enter the house. Soon after the pioneers arrived, the village was shaken by terrible news: the former count's forester Kuzmin had been killed on Khalzin Meadow.
His comrade, local activist Timofey Rybalin, was arrested on suspicion of murder. Misha, who had already met Timofey, could not believe that he could commit such a vile murder.
