Plot from the film Aty-baty, soldiers were walking:
1944. Junior Lieutenant Suslin, who recently completed a ten-year school and accelerated command courses, was appointed commander of a tank destroyer platoon.
Before being sent to the front, he was tasked with preparing a shock platoon in the rear. tank destroyersBut in the platoon, in addition to young, inexperienced soldiers, there were also experienced front-line soldiers who had smelled gunpowder.
One of them, Corporal Svyatkin, nicknamed “Matchmaker” at first, really bothered the young commander. But as the departure to the front approached, Svyatkin stopped making fun of the platoon commander, and as an experienced front-line soldier, he became his right hand.
And so Suslin's platoon arrives at the rear station Podbednya. The company commander orders Suslin to move to Ilyinka and spend the night there. And in the morning to move to Rumyantsevo, find the senior there and act as ordered.
Since the platoon must stop in Ilyinka for the night, Svyatkin asks the platoon commander to allow him to celebrate his son's birthday with his comrades.
Svyatkin's comrade Tengiz Koderidze invites two girls from the medical battalion. Suslin recognizes his classmate Kima Velenstovich in one of them.
Kima and Igor had been in love since school, but the war broke off their relationship. And at night Igor was called to a seriously wounded colonel.
He informed Suslin that a German motorized group had broken through the encirclement and was heading towards Ilyinka, where there were hospitals and many wounded. Suslin and his soldiers had to stop the tanks until reinforcements arrived…
