The film takes place in the late 1930s. In one of the suburban dacha villages, fourteen-year-old Timur Garayev created a team of patriotic teenagers.
The main goal of the team's activities was to provide all possible assistance to the families of Red Army soldiers who took part in various military conflicts.
On the gates of the house from which a person had gone into the army, the Timurovites painted their sign - a red star. This meant that this house was now under their protection and defense.
Thus, the house of thirteen-year-old Zhenya, whose father was a commander of the Red Army, came under the protection of the Timurites. Zhenya, together with her older sister Olga, came to visit the dacha and immediately became friends with Timur. Who helped her out of a difficult situation.
But despite this, Olga forbade Zhenya to meet with Timur, considering him one of the hooligans. And this is not accidental, because Timur's men did not advertise their activities. And the locals considered all the boys hooligans who robbed apples in their gardens at night.
But only the Timurites knew that this was the work of Mishka Kvakin and his gang of hooligans. These rascals, despite Timur's warnings, continued to clean out the gardens of summer residents. Even those with a red star on their gates.
Fights often broke out between the boys, but neither side could yet achieve an unconditional victory, because both teams were numerically equal. But the truth in this confrontation was still on the Timurovites' side, and sooner or later they managed to neutralize the hooligans...
