Narrative:

The action of the movie It's a one-time thing takes place in the late 80s, in the USSR. Three construction workers: Papashin, Romanov and Izmailov for violation of labor discipline are sent to the 13th "to serve their sentence". SMUon the demolition crew.

But even here the trio managed to set up a small business, organizing auctions to sell old things from demolished houses. And one day the builders had a real stroke of luck: in the wall of the house they found a chest with six gold bars of the highest grade. According to Soviet laws, the gold found belonged to the state, and the finder received only 25% of the treasure. This arithmetic clearly did not suit the builders, so they decided to divide the treasure equally: two bars per brother.

Papashin advised his subordinates to hide the gold safely until he found a place where it could be profitably pushed. Izmailov and Romanov, already concerned about the preservation of their untold riches, rushed to fulfill the brigadier's instruction.

Izmailov puts the gold in the luggage room at the station and takes the camera under round-the-clock surveillance. Romanov hides the money under a grave in the cemetery, and in order to always be close to his hiding place he becomes a permanent cemetery watchman.

Meanwhile, the brigadier is looking for a client to buy gold. But all Papashin's attempts were unsuccessful; in the Soviet Union, selling (buying) gold by hand was a very difficult and risky business. In addition to the fact that the builders lost their peace guarding the treasure, the failure of its realization did not inspire optimism.

Papashin's nephew, who served in the militia, helped the hapless treasure hunters to solve this problem. One day, while doing laundry, he discovers gold bars hidden by his uncle in the closet. The sergeant immediately advises Papashin and his colleagues to take the gold to the police. The builders have nothing to do but listen to the guardian of the law, despite the fact that he is in no way a close relative of Papashin. But only Romanov can not fulfill this friendly advice: his ingots stored in the cemetery someone pulled...

And a few days later at the construction site, the trio of failed millionaires was visited by a certain Smironova, an employee of the cemetery where Romanov hid his treasure.

She drove up in a brand-new Zhiguli, which she had bought with the interest from the treasure she had found, and invited the builders to dinner at the restaurant. The builders only looked enviously at her and began their hard work. But suddenly they find the chest again in the opening of the wall. They watched with bated breath as the lid was opened, but instead of gold, a rubber hand with a shapely figure jumped out of the chest. The foreman was forced to make a doomed statement about the fact that there is no such thing as a one-time thing....
