Narrative:

Action of the film Sisters takes place in the late 90s in Russia. Crime boss Albert Murtazaev (Alik) is released after a short stay in a pretrial detention facility (apparently he paid his way out).

But after his arrest, the "cash register" of the thieves' common fund was confiscated from him, and now his former "colleagues" in the thieves' business are demanding the return of the common fund money, in the amount of a million dollars... Alik understands that he is vulnerable, because he has an eight-year-old daughter. After this implied threat, Alik hides his daughter Dina and thirteen-year-old stepdaughter Svetlana in a "safe" apartment, ordering them not to leave the house and not to call on the phone, hoping to quickly resolve the problem.

At first, the half-sisters, who had hardly communicated before, had difficulty finding a common language. Svetlana, a patriotic girl who listens to V. Tsoi's songs, is engaged in shooting and dreams of being recruited as a sniper in Chechnya when she grows up.

She did not like her stepfather because she guessed what kind of business he was doing, she despised her mother, who married a bandit for money. Nevertheless, the bandits from a competing firm managed to figure out the apartment where Alik hid his daughters. But Sveta noticed in time through the window a jeep that drove up to the house and athletic young people who got out of it. Showing ingenuity, she managed to climb over with Dina and hide on the neighboring balcony.

After searching the apartment, the bandits left with nothing, and the sisters went to relatives in the village. But the relatives, who had two small children, did not want to shelter the bandit's daughter, who was also being hunted. Then Sveta decides to stay at her classmate's dacha. From the station, she called Alik to report her location, but Alik, afraid of being wiretapped, did not answer the phone.

Then Sveta called her classmate, the owner of the dacha, so that he would come and lend her some money. The bandits, who had taken control of Alik's phone, managed to "trace" the number from which the call was made, and they immediately left for the dacha village.

However, Sveta mixed up the house numbers and the bandits burned down the neighboring dacha... Trying to get money for food, the sisters end up with gypsies, who are now trying to exploit the girls, forcing them to beg and trade at the station.

Crime drama Leviathan

But since Alik and the rival gangsters had raised the alarm not only of their colleagues but also of the police, the sisters were soon detained and taken to the linear police department. Since a generous reward was promised, police captain Palych decided to take the girls to their parents and get the money himself. But instead of the parents, bandits came for the sisters, and Palych refused to give them the sisters, hiding them with his friend, the local alcoholic Saifullin.

The captain himself dies at the hands of bandits who tried to torture him into revealing the location of his sisters. Meanwhile, Alik, who managed to escape the close surveillance of his competitors, gathered his remaining loyal brothers and went to look for his daughters.

Soon his paths crossed with competitors who were also on the girls' trail. The decisive battle took place near Saifullin's house, in which Alik and his friends won a decisive victory. After that, Alik took his family and was going to quickly flee to prosperous Austria, and finally, the sisters who had become friends would have to part...
