Narrative:

Действие фильма «Школьный вальс» происходит в конце 70-х годов прошлого века, накануне последнего школьного звонка. Выпускницы Зося Кнушевицкая и Дина Соловьева влюблены в своего одноклассника Гошу Кораблева. Гоша выбирает Зосю, но за несколько дней до выпускного вечера, он переключает свое внимание на Дину.

The reason for this was the news of Zosya's pregnancy, and Gosha, although he loved her, was not yet ready to take on such a burden. And so at the graduation party, Gosha is already dancing the school waltz with Dina, and soon marries her.

Zosya faces a difficult choice: get rid of the child by having an abortion or become a single mother at her age? And what about all the plans with entering college?

Zosya's mother advises her not to ruin her life and have an abortion, but the girl, having learned that she may become infertile after an abortion, decides to give birth. Fearing her mother's reproaches, she leaves home and goes to work in a construction and assembly department, where she is provided with a hostel.

Meanwhile, Gosha's married life with his unloved Dina becomes unbearable for him, and he divorces her and leaves for a long expedition. A year later, having arrived for a reunion of graduates, Gosha meets Zosya within the walls of his native school and understands that he still loves her, but Zosya is in no hurry to throw herself into the arms of the man who abandoned her in a difficult moment...
