Narrative:

The action of the movie "Double Overtaking" takes place in the mid-80s of the last century in one Central Asian republic. Captain Yuri Madzhiev, a traffic police inspector on his way to work, notices a car on the side of a mountain road.VAZ-2102" whose driver reported that he had stopped due to a minor breakdown.

Having made sure that the driver did not need his help, Madzhiev went to his post, where he soon received a tip-off about a stolen car, which was very similar in description to the one he had met on the road.
