After serving his military service in the airborne troops, Viktor Koltsov returns home to Moscow. On the way home, Viktor detains a pickpocket on the bus who was trying to steal a wallet from a female passenger's bag. And this action attracts the attention of the local police chief.
Airborne training, a heightened sense of justice, observation, and most importantly courage and determination appealed to the major. Such guys were needed in law enforcement agencies, so Ivan Aleksandrovich immediately offers Koltsov to join the police.
After completing special courses, Koltsov got an internship at his department, in the patrol and guard service. Of course, Viktor, like all newcomers, dreamed of being a search officer, because the policemen there dealt with real criminals.
And there was little romance in the patrol and guard service. Walking around the city and maintaining public order. Chasing away street hooligans, loafers and alcoholics.
But such an assessment of the service was only due to his youth. One day, after another night shift, Victor handed in his weapon and went home to rest. But suddenly, in the crowd, he noticed a dangerous criminal wanted by the police.
Viktor tried to detain him, but in response he was stabbed. But the wound did not stop Koltsov. Gathering his last strength, he rushed to pursue the criminal...
