Plot:

The film "Two in the Sand" takes place in the early 80s of the last century. Large-scale military exercises are being held in the Central Asian Military District.

To indicate the movement of a column of military equipment through the desert, the command posts a traffic controller post of two soldiers.

But due to a sudden storm, the movement of the column was stopped, and two soldiers were left alone with the approaching elements.

The senior officer of the detail, Private Panaev, decides that they need to stay where they are, because if they are going to be looked for, it will only be where they were supposed to be according to orders.

But another soldier, Igor Yanovsky, suggests moving towards the railway, where the column was moving from. And although Panayev was the senior of the detail, he followed his younger comrade's lead, because Igor was a batsketball player with a rank, and he was respected not only in the regiment, but in their entire division.

However, the decision to move towards the railway turned out to be a mistake, and the two soldiers got lost in the endless sands. The scorching sun, the drying wind and the almost complete lack of drinking water...
