Plot of the film Guest from the Future:
This fairy tale-like story takes place in 1984. Kolya Gerasimov, a 6-B student at Moscow School No. 20, discovers a time machine in the basement of an abandoned house. Without telling any adults, Kolya sets off on a time travel and ends up in the future. In 2084.
The first person Kolya meets in the future is the robot Werther, an employee of the Institute of Time. Of course, Werther, as a conscientious servant, could have handed Kolya over to the Museum of Time as an exhibit. Or, at best, sent him back to his time.
But since the robot was also a bit of a romantic, he violated service instructions and allowed the boy to at least take a peek into the future.
On Werther's advice, Kolya goes to the cosmodrome, where the next intergalactic expedition was soon to meet.

Here the boy unwittingly becomes a witness to a story that will involve him in dangerous adventures. From his casual acquaintance he learns that terrible space pirates have arrived on Earth. Who want to steal the unique device "melafon", developed by Professor Seleznev.
With the help of this device it was possible to read thoughts of not only people, but also animals. Therefore, the device was actively used for scientific purposes. At the moment it was with the daughter of the professor Alice in KOSMOZOO, where she worked with animals.
But for the pirates, the melaphone was a means to achieve their selfish goals of capturing the galaxy, and they were ready to do anything to achieve it. This meant that Alice was in mortal danger.
Having learned of this, Kolya rushes to COSMOSOO and intercepts the "mellophone" from the pirates. Hiding from pursuit, Kolya, with the help of Werther, hides in his time. The pirates and Alice follow him.
But now Kolya faced a difficult task. How to return the "melafon" to Alice? After all, the treacherous pirates could transform into other people and could easily trick him into giving up the "melafon" under the guise of Alice...
