Plot:

Action of the film Time of desires takes place in Moscow in the early 80s of the last century. The main character of the film, Svetlana Vasilievna, is a young and energetic woman who is used to achieving everything in life herself, dreams of getting married, so that, as Svetlana herself puts it, she can change her unattractive last name.

Of course, for such a business woman, the world of mechanics and plumbers was not interesting; her dream was some kind of creative person: a writer, composer or artist.

To achieve her goal, Svetlana Vasilievna spends time in various unions of composers, writers and artists in the hope of meeting someone who will be interested in her. But as it turns out, all these creative individuals are too egoistic and narcissistic, and therefore, are occupied exclusively with themselves.

One day, on the advice of a friend, Svetlana Vasilievna met an elderly widower, Vladimir Dmitrievich Lobanov. Lobanov was not a writer, not an artist, and not even a composer, he was a mid-level official of the main department, deeply decent, modest and intelligent.

Lobanov was the direct opposite of Svetlana Vasilyevna, unlike her, he was satisfied with his modest position and the way of life he led. And as is known, opposites attract, so after several meetings, Lobanov and Svetlana Vasilyevna decided to get married.
