Narrative:

The action of the film "Time Chose Us" takes place in June 1941. The secretary of the district committee of the Komsomol, Ivan Voronetsky, goes on leave for family reasons to one of the villages near Brest.

His fiancée lived in these parts and soon the happy lovers were to get married, but on the way Voronetsky learns that the war has begun and Brest is occupied by German troops.

In order to avoid being seen by the occupiers, Voronetsky turns off the road into the forest, where he meets Red Army lieutenant Alexei Nebylovich and Pyotr Molchanov, who was sent from Moscow.

Together, the new friends decide to break through the front line to their own people, but a meeting with the secretary of the district party committee, Butevich, forces them to change their original plans.

According to the directive from Moscow on the organization of the partisan movement, all Komsomol members and communists who found themselves in enemy-occupied territories must join the partisan struggle, so the friends have no choice but to join Butevich’s still small detachment…
