Plot of the series The Walking in Calvary (TV series 2017):
The series takes place in 1914. The daughter of Samara doctor Dmitry Bulavin, Dasha, comes to St. Petersburg to study at the university. Here, thanks to her sister Katya and her husband Nikolai, Dasha meets the progressive youth of St. Petersburg, who profess new revolutionary ideas.
All of Petersburg was now living in anticipation of great changes that would forever change the existing order. However, Dasha did not share the joy of her new friends, feeling that some terrible misfortune was approaching them all.
Dasha's intuition did not deceive her and very soon this terrible day arrived. The First World War began. Then there were two revolutions, and finally, a terrible fratricidal civil war. The fronts of which passed not only through every city or village, but even through every family.
The husbands of the Bulavin sisters Katya and Dasha, former tsarist officers Ivan Telegin and Vadim Roshchin. Both heroically fought the Germans in World War I, but with the beginning of the revolution their paths diverged. Now they too fought for Russia, but each of them saw Russia differently.
