Plot:

The action of the series "Demon of the Revolution" takes place in 1915 and tells the story of a man without whom the October Revolution of 1917 in Russia might not have happened. However, the name of this man was never written into the history of this October Revolution itself, nor the country that was formed as a result of it.

Alexander Lvovich Parvus, that was the name of this man, the son of a dockworker, learned early what poverty, the Pale of Settlement, Jewish pogroms and university quotas that limited Jews' access to education were.

From an early age, Parvus was actively involved in revolutionary activities in Russia, but after the suppression of the 1905 revolution, he was exiled to Siberia. However, he soon fled to the West, where he made a good fortune supplying weapons to Turkey. But the dream of a revolution in Russia did not leave him.

And one day a bold and grandiose plan matured in Parvus's head. He decided to involve the German Kaiser in this idea, with whose money it would be possible to finance the Russian revolution, because the Germans, like no one else in the world, were interested in Russia's defeat and its withdrawal from the war. And among the Russian revolutionaries there were many who called for withdrawal from the war and a separate peace with Germany.

Parvus outlined his thoughts in a memorandum (the Parvus memorandum), which he submitted for consideration to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the German Empire, Gottlieb von Jagow.
