The film "Tukhachevsky: The Marshal's Conspiracy" takes place between 1936 and 1937 and tells the tragic story of the Marshal of the Soviet Union Mikhail Nikolaevich TukhachevskyComing from a noble family, former second lieutenant in the tsarist army Tukhachevsky made a dizzying career in the Workers' and Peasants' Red Army.

By 1936, Tukhachevsky held the post of First Deputy People's Commissar of Defense of the USSR and held the title of Marshal of the Soviet Union, which, apart from him, only four people in the country of the Soviets had. But even this was clearly not enough for the ambitious Tukhachevsky.

It wasn't even the post of People's Commissar of Defense, which was occupied by Marshal Voroshilov, whom Tukhachevsky hated, that interested the former tsarist second lieutenant. Tukhachevsky aimed much higher: he planned to become the head of the entire country as a result of a military coup.

In the meantime, the disgraced marshal, together with his loyal comrades, is plotting a conspiracy, the basis of which should be this very military coup, which was decided to be carried out on May 1, the day of the military parade on Red Square in Moscow.

In order to justify the overthrow of Stalin in the eyes of the masses, Tukhachevsky, through people loyal to him, finds a secret document in the archives, according to which Stalin was an informant and provocateur of the tsarist secret police. In addition, Tukhachevsky tries to lure the people's favorites to his side: Kalinin, Budyonny and Dybenko.

Meanwhile, documents come to light that discredit Tukhachevsky himself. It turns out that the heroic marshal shamefully lost the Soviet-Polish war in 1921, and in order to rehabilitate himself in the eyes of the party leadership, he carried out several punitive operations against his own people. The brutal suppression of the Kronstadt rebellion and the Tambov peasant uprising, against which Tukhachevsky used not only aviation and artillery, but chemical weapons…
