The film takes place on the eve of the war in Belarus. Academician Sarov, the main developer of military codes in the USSR, is vacationing with his family in a sanatorium located thirty kilometers from the state border. With the outbreak of the war, the sanatorium is captured by the Germans. The Soviet leadership fears that the Germans will guess about Sarov's activities, so a decision is made to save the academician. To do this, a group of military intelligence officers led by Major Pavlovsky is sent to the German rear...

Series Military Intelligence. First Strike. Part2. The task that never happened.

The film takes place in August 1941, in Belarus. Major Pavlovsky's reconnaissance group receives the task of capturing German army colonel Grubber as a "tongue". Having set up an ambush on the road, the scouts attack the general's car, but they fail to capture Grubber: he is not in the car. However, the scouts manage to capture a more valuable tongue. According to the documents, they captured SS Standartenführer Linke, head of the 2nd Personnel Directorate of the SD, who arrived from Berlin on an inspection.

The intelligence officers report their success to Moscow, but they are not happy about Pavlovsky's message. It turns out that Linke is a resident of Soviet intelligence in Berlin, so Pavlovsky is urgently given a coded message: return Linke to his place, but return him in such a way as not to arouse suspicion among the Germans...

The film takes place in German-occupied Western Ukraine in the fall of 1941. Soviet military intelligence receives information about the Germans conducting "economic reforms" in the occupied territory, with the goal of undermining the economy of the USSR. For this purpose, the new Gauleiter Friedrich Krause, who had a reputation in Germany as an economic genius, arrived in Lutsk.

The Soviet resident from Lutsk also reported that Krause should soon receive some very important cargo from Berlin.

The leadership of the intelligence department of the General Staff of the Red Army decides to eliminate Krause and the important cargo that he is expecting, for this purpose a reconnaissance group of Major Pavlovsky is sent into the enemy rear. The task is complicated by the fact that the scouts will have to operate deep in the German rear, where there was no Soviet underground. But just before the group leaves, Pavlovsky's leadership receives a message from the resident from Lutsk: local Komsomol members have organized an underground organization in the city...
