Plot:

A controversial figure Leon Trotsky still causes heated debates among historians around the world. Who is he, a fanatical idealist who decided to change the world for the better or an ambitious adventurer who destroyed millions of people to satisfy his ambitions?

For a long time, Trotsky's role in the history of the Russian revolution was hushed up or reduced to a minimum, but it was Trotsky who was the first person in the two Russian revolutions of 1905 and 1917. Until October 1917, few people in Russia knew Lenin, much less Stalin, who, in the end, received not only all the laurels of the winner, but also unlimited power in the country, to the creation of which Trotsky was involved much more than others.

In the summer of 1917, when the Bolsheviks were under threat of arrest, Trotsky was the only one of the party leaders who did not leave Russia, and the October Revolution of 1917 was planned and carried out on the orders and under the leadership of Trotsky.

But after the Bolsheviks took power in the country, Trotsky unexpectedly removed himself from the leading role in the party and the leadership of the country, handing over the reins of power to Lenin, believing that in a country destroyed by the revolution, the Russian people would not tolerate a Jewish ruler.

This is where Trotsky's slow but sure fall begins. He is still strong and influential, but the chair beneath him is already tottering. But Trotsky seems less concerned with personal power than with the realization of his grandiose idea called world revolution, and so he takes on the thankless task of forming an army.

The army, disintegrated by the Bolsheviks, did not want to fight either against the external enemy or against the internal enemy, which was now Russia's own population. But Trotsky again succeeded in the almost impossible: he created a combat-ready Red Army from disparate partisan detachments, which inspired terror until the very end of the Soviet empire.

In this war against his own people, Trotsky showed monstrous cruelty, thanks to which the Soviet power stood firm and won, although Trotsky himself found himself overboard. The flywheel of terror against the enemies of the revolution, spun by Trotsky, could no longer stop, and soon Trotsky himself fell under it.

From the main hero of the revolution, Trotsky turns into the main enemy of the revolution, and soon the field of Stalin's usurpation of power leaves Russia.

But even far from his homeland, he constantly feels the punishing sword of the revolution he created raised against him. Trotsky understands that Stalin could have killed him back in Russia, but it would have been too easy for him, because the anticipation of death is worse than death itself….
