Narrative:

Action of the film Cell takes place in the late 90s, in Russia. By the age of thirty, Nastya Arsentyeva, who grew up in an orphanage, had finally achieved what she had dreamed of her whole life. She now had her own family, the two closest people to her: a husband and a son. But one day, her life turned into a nightmare. Her loved ones and those dearest to her died under the wheels of a car driven by the wife of a rich and influential businessman.

Having sworn revenge, Nastya follows her offender to prison, and when Elena Shalevich, the femme fatale's name, is sent to a psychiatric hospital for treatment, Nastya follows her. And finally, when she manages to catch up with the killer, Nastya suddenly realizes that she cannot kill this girl, who herself suffered severe pangs of conscience from her crime and did not even try to resist Nastya.

And besides, Nastya had a new and much more dangerous enemy in the person of the chief doctor of the mental hospital, Anatoly Gamalei. In her student years, she had an affair with Anatoly, and Nastya was even going to marry him, but having figured out the groom in time, Nastya left him. But years later, Anatoly's love did not pass, but became even stronger, and Nastya was now completely in his power.

To remain in a cage for the rest of her life, agreeing to become Gamaleya's slave, or to die a painful death under the influence of drugs - the choice for Nastya was small, but unexpected help came from the one whom she had recently hated so much and wanted to kill...
