The plot of the show Circle of deception (episode 2023):
A man named Robert Sherman has been murdered. The only son and heir of Regina Sherman, the owner of the capital's Sherbud construction empire. The police detain Robert's wife Pauline, with whom the deceased had been quarreling lately.
And although the girl claimed that her actions were dictated solely by self-defense, the court decided otherwise. The influential mother-in-law was able to get Polina convicted of premeditated murder and send her daughter-in-law to prison for ten years.
But she was not satisfied with that. Having learned that Polina gave birth to a daughter in the colony, Sherman seeks to deprive her of parental rights and takes the girl away.
The only person who doubts Polina's guilt is Stas Goncharuk. The journalist and criminal news anchor decided to conduct his own investigation. Having learned about it, Regina Sherman seeks his dismissal. And the bribed prison warden does not give Stas a meeting with Polina.
Ten years have passed. After serving from call to call, Polina is released. She doesn't want to take revenge on anyone or stand up for the truth. She wants only one thing: to find her only daughter.
