Narrative:

The action of the film "The Sky with Me" takes place in the late 60s of the last century. Former military pilot Ivan Klinov accidentally meets Nadezhda Gribova in Moscow, whom he was going to marry back in 1942. However, the war made adjustments to these plans, and during another combat sortie Klinov was shot down.

Perish yourself, but save your comrade! This is what the great Russian commander taught, and this is what Ivan Klinov did, saving his best friend Dmitry Gribov. But Klinov did not die, but was captured, from which he made two unsuccessful attempts to escape.

And after the war, Ivan returned home and immediately tried to find Nadya, but found out that she did not wait for him, but married his best friend Dmitry Gribov.

At that time Klinov did not know that Nadya had married Gribov, being sure that Ivan had died, but he decided not to appear in her life anymore, so as not to interfere with someone else's happiness. And ten years after the war, Klinov lost his second passion - the sky, to which he had given half of his life.

Unable to master a jet fighter due to health reasons, Klinov left aviation, although of course he could still fly other, slower aircraft.

Now he worked as a car mechanic, had a family, and seemed to be happy with life, but this chance meeting with Nadya again made him suffer excruciatingly. After all, as he realized, the years do not heal, but only leave scars on the heart, and he and Nadya still loved each other.

But now everyone had their own family and their own life, so Klinov decided not to meet with Nadya and his former best friend Dmitry Gribov anymore. However, any meeting, even a chance one, has its consequences, and Nadya and her husband Dmitry, who by that time had risen to the rank of general, help Klinov return to aviation...
