Narrative:

The action of the movie "The Elusive" takes place in the late 50's in Odessa. The Odessa Criminal Investigation Department receives information about the upcoming kidnapping of an antique violin".Stradivarius"The Queen of Belgium presented it to the Soviet musician David Oistrakh.

Two old Odessa thieves Yakov Kobzar (Kobza) and Sergey Lavrovsky (Lavrik), who had been unsuccessfully tried to catch for many years by the Criminal Investigation Department, were supposed to steal the violin.

Elusive crooks, remained at large, thanks to the fact that very carefully designed their operations, and since the operation to steal the violin was to be the last in the career of famous thieves, it was prepared with special care.

The case was complicated, so, this time, the aging thieves needed helpers, which they decided to pick up among the young thieves' talents. By happy accident among these young talents was and operative Alexey Terentyev, working under the guise of Yalta thief-pickpocket Zlatozubogo....
