Plot Отряд специального назначения:

The film takes place in the spring of 1942. The commander of a partisan detachment, Colonel Dmitry Medvedev, is tasked with forming a special-purpose partisan detachment that will operate deep in the German rear, in the territory of occupied western Ukraine.

The special forces unit would have to move into the forests near the city of Rivne, which the Germans had made the capital of occupied Ukraine. In addition, the largest railway junctions of Zdolbuniv, Sarny and Kovel were located in the Rivne area, through which almost all German military trains supplied the front with manpower, equipment, fuel and food.

As the NKVD general explained to Medvedev, the actions of the new detachment would differ from those of a regular partisan detachment. Its main task would not be sabotage and subversive work, but deep reconnaissance. The partisans would have to obtain information about the nature and number of military trains through junction stations, find out the attitude of the local population to the occupation authorities and conduct political work with them, and much other valuable information that the front needed so much.

For this purpose, a large group of intelligence officers was formed from among the local residents of the areas where the detachment was to operate. In addition, professional intelligence officer Nikolai Kuznetsov, pseudonym Grachev, was sent to Medvedev's disposal. Kuznetsov had worked in intelligence since 1938, but was not only an experienced intelligence officer, but also a talented person.

He mastered the German language perfectly, so that the captured German officers could not believe that he was not German. According to the legend, Kuznetsov was supposed to act directly in Rovno under the guise of a German officer, Paul Siebert, and underwent intensive training in studying the legend. His deployment was planned by the command as the last step, after the detachment had firmly established itself in the designated area.

The detachment arrived at the location in small groups, dropped in at intervals of several days, and began to carry out the center's tasks. Nikolai Kuznetsov soon arrived. After familiarizing himself with the situation, he left for Rivne, and valuable strategic information began to arrive at the center.

In addition to obtaining top-secret information, the command gave Kuznetsov the task of eliminating Erik Koch, Hitler's deputy in Ukraine. But Koch was carefully guarded and it was impossible to get close to him, so Kuznetsov eliminated several other high-ranking Germans.

In addition, the kidnapping of a German general was organized. In 1944, with the advance of the Red Army, the Germans began to retreat to the west, and Medvedev's detachment received an order from the center to relocate to the forests near Lvov. Kuznetsov and two scouts were sent to Lvov. A group of underground fighters sent by Medvedev to Lvov to contact Kuznetsov fell into an ambush and died, so Kuznetsov decided to leave Lvov immediately.

But before leaving, the scouts make a daring attack on Vice-Governor Bauer. In connection with this, the entire Gestapo was raised to its feet, and descriptions of Paul Siebert were sent out in all directions. The scouts managed to escape from Lvov, but in the forest they were ambushed by Ukrainian nationalists….
