Narrative:

The action of the film "Born of the Revolution" takes place in Russia from 1917 to the mid-70s of the last century. The main character of the film is a village boy Nikolai Kondratyev. In the remote village in the Pskov region, where Nikolai lived, the main entertainment of the men was fist fights, in which Nikolai took an active part.

While doing this, Nikolai Kondratyev heard the news of the revolution in Petrograd. But the most revolutionary event in Nikolai's life was the death of his parents, who burned to death in their hut while Nikolai was beating up the peasants on the main square. At that time, Nikolai did not yet know that his parents' death was not accidental, but now he falls into the field of vision of a certain Arseny Aleksandrovich, a Petersburg raider nicknamed "Chinusha", who came to the village to recruit young people for "work" in the capital.

But Kondratyev is not destined to become a robber: his mentor suddenly dies at the hands of his accomplices, and Nikolai, as a companion of "Chinusha", ends up in the commandant's office. Here Kondratyev could have fallen under the merciless axe of the revolution, but Alexei Bushmakin, a worker from the Putilov factory, unexpectedly stands up for him.

From that moment on, Nikolai Kondratyev became a worker at the Putilov factory, but he did not stay in this position for long either. Petrograd was overwhelmed by a wave of crime, and the leadership of the Soviet republic decided to form a body to combat criminality. The party called its best, proven comrades to this new body, which was called the criminal investigation department, among whom was Kondratyev's protégé Alexei Bushmakin.

Bushmakin has not forgotten how Nikolai helped him protect wine warehouses from marauders and willingly takes him along to his new job. At first, the newly-minted detectives, who only yesterday were standing at the machine, find detective work difficult; at first, Nil Alekseevich Kolychev, an old investigator of the Russian imperial detective service, helps them master this difficult science.

But investigating "live" criminal cases, yesterday's Putilov workers learned very quickly and acquired operational savvy. Kondratyev and his comrades have to unravel various criminal cases. Among Kondratyev's "clients" is the legendary Lenka Panteleyev.

After the Great Patriotic War, Kondratyev participated in the search and capture of fascist henchmen and traitors to the Motherland.

In the late 1940s, a brutal gang of criminals disguised as police officers operates in suburban trains. Kondratyev's wife Masha, who becomes an unwitting witness to their crime, becomes the werewolves' victim.

It is impossible to catch the criminals on the trail, the bandits lie low. But the gang leader did not calm down and after some time he resumed his criminal activity. Only decades later he is detained on suspicion of another murder.
