Действие фильма «Тайны мадам Вонг» происходит в средине 80-х годов в Гонконге. Комиссар полиции русского происхождения Томпсон на протяжении тридцати лет безуспешно борется против мафии. Thompson turns to one of his millionaire friends for help, but he was forced to refuse the honest detective and advised him to change tactics. Thompson heard his friend and decided to act on his advice. He recently detained the secretary of Madame Wong herself, the famous queen of modern pirates, against whom Thompson unsuccessfully fought. From him, the commissioner learns the secrets of Madame Wong: the syndicate's untold treasures hidden on one of the uninhabited islands.

Thompson quits the police, steals a yacht and heads to the treasured island in search of treasure. At this time, the Soviet cruise liner Ivan Bunin, chartered by a foreign travel company, is heading towards him from Sydney. The passengers on board are Madame Wong herself and her henchmen, who are being watched by the Soviet sailor Bulat.

The pirates notice the surveillance and, after beating Bulat, throw him overboard. But Bulat manages to avoid certain death, thanks to Thompson's yacht, which is on his course.

Having become Thompson's passenger, Bulat is now forced to follow his orders without asking unnecessary questions. Together with Thompson, they manage to find pirate treasures and load them onto the yacht, but the unexpected appearance of pirates disrupts their plans...
