Plot:

The action of the film "Ransom" takes place in the mid-80s of the last century in one of the Western European countries. The high-mountain hotel "Alpen" and the nearby children's boarding house "Svyatogo Martina" are blocked by terrorists with the help of artificial snowdrifts on the roads.

A paramilitary group called the Movement for Order, which took it upon itself to blockade the hotel and boarding house, addressed the country's authorities with an ultimatum: transfer all the children from the boarding house to the hotel, pay them a ransom of fifty million dollars, and release their comrades from prison.

If their demands are not met, the terrorists threaten to use a radio signal to detonate an explosive device that they have installed on the top of the mountain. The explosion will in turn cause an avalanche that will destroy the hotel and the adjacent buildings.

All approaches to the hotel were blocked by snipers positioned on the mountain slopes, so it was practically impossible to either leave or approach it; all that was left was to hope that, having received the ransom and their accomplices, the terrorists would abandon the explosion.

But the people in the hotel were not going to passively await their fate, because perhaps the terrorists' accomplice was among them. Someone had disabled the radio and other means of communication with the hotel? Thus, having neutralized the informant, they still had a chance to save themselves...
