Plot of the film Remember me like this:
The film's main character, Maria Nikolaevna Kireeva, who survived the siege, is a convinced and staunch communist. Her convictions were formed in difficult times, which left a deep mark on her fate. Maria and her adult daughter Nastya continue to live in Leningrad.
She shares memories of the difficult and heroic past with the younger generation, with her children and grandchildren, trying to raise them to be worthy people.
However, this turns out to be not such a simple matter. Young people who did not experience all the horrors of war often forgot what sacrifices their fathers and grandfathers made so that they could have a well-fed and peaceful life.
The plot unfolds on Maria Ivanovna's birthday. On this day, her son Andrei comes to visit her from Siberia. His two wives, his ex and current, as well as his daughter and grandson, come with him. However, the celebration does not bring the happiness that everyone had hoped for.
The grandmother, observing the behavior and opinions of her younger generation, begins to realize how different they are from the ideals she has always defended and held dear. This clash of values becomes the central conflict that permeates the entire film…
