Narrative:

The action of the movie "Alien Name" takes place in the mid-60s in Belarus. Vasily Butkevich, the director of the motor depot, meets his pre-war friend Olga Pavlova in a roadside cafe. She tells him that she married for the second time, because her first husband Viktor Polikarpovich Ilyin died during the war.

Butkevich was concerned, because a man with such a surname, name and even patronymic worked as a chauffeur in his motor depot. Wanting to give Olga a surprise Butkevich arranges a meeting with Ilyin, but the woman did not even recognize him.

This circumstance forces Butkevich to turn to the prosecutor's office and find out how and why his chauffeur appropriated someone else's name ...
