Narrative:

The action of the film "Caucasian Roulette" takes place in the early 2000s, during The Second Chechen War in Russia. Что бы вызволить из чеченского плена своего сына, Мария должна разыскать некую Анну — русскую жену полевого командира Аслана, сбежавшую с их новорожденным ребенком.

For four days at the railway station, Maria tried to look like Anna, whose photo she had received from the Chechens, and finally, on the fifth day, luck smiled on the woman. A girl with Anna's features boarded a mail car on a train heading to Moscow.

Maria managed to sneak into the same carriage and meet Anna. At first, Maria did not pretend to know Anna, but her own misfortune forced her to confess. She knew that before her was a Russian girl who had turned against her own people and, working as a sniper for the militants, killed Russian soldiers for money.

The thought that her son could be among the possible victims of this young and beautiful girl scared Maria, but after listening to the girl's story about her difficult fate, Maria softened. After all, she is a mother, and this young girl has also recently become a mother and is now clearly tormented by pangs of conscience for her past life.

Now it depended only on her whether Anna would be able to start a new life or not, and whether Maria herself would be able to be happy if she decided to exchange her son for Anna’s son, because as we know, you can’t get to heaven on someone else’s grief…
